Lyrical Faux Pas?

Within the musical Oliver there is a song which contains these lyrics:
There’ll never be a day so sunny. It could not happen twice. Where is the man with all the money? It’s cheap at half the price.
Shouldn’t it be
It’s cheap at twice the price
?
(And just exactly where should I have put that question mark?)
